Ayurveda is a more than 5,000 years old comprehensive Indian system of medicine based on a holistic approach rooted in Vedic culture. The term Ayurveda is taken from the Sanskrit words ayus, meaning life or lifespan, and veda, meaning knowledge thus meaning The Knowledge of life or Life Science. This holistic science contains the knowledge of complete balance of the Body, Mind and Spirit. Ayurveda says that the bodily health is determined by three biological principles, called 3 Doshas: Vata, which regulates movement; Pitta, which regulates metabolism; and Kapha, which regulates structure. The Treatment uses heated oils and herbs to trigger the body's natural healing processes, increase metabolism, enhance the immune system, soften the skin and bring deep relaxation and peace of mind.
