Kuchipudi

Kuchipudi dance hails from the village of Kuchelapun or Kuchelapuram in the Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh and has a history of nearly two millennia. Since its origin,
it has remained a continuous and living dance tradition of Andhra Pradesh. Its genesis, like most Indian classical dances is associated with religions, and for a long time was presented only at temples. Witness the vivacious beauty of Kuchipudi with Manju Bharggavee, the master performer, who gave her full-fledged recital at a very young
age. A disciple of the dance maestro Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam, Manju's audience range from village folks to city dwellers, all of whom she entertains with elan.
